Abstract: I willdiscuss the importance of the scale setting in QCD and I will introduce a newrecently developed method : the Principle of Maximum Conformality -PMC, whichsolves the renormalization scale scheme and scale ambiguities and improvesthe precision of the theoretical predictions in pQCD.
