Abstract:
It was conjectured from the string theory that a d-dimensional strongly coupling quantum field theory can be mapped into a (d+1)-dimensional weakly quantum gravity theory in an asymptotic anti-de-Sitter spacetime. In recent 10 years, this conjecture has been widely applied into various different areas, such as condensed matter physics, high energy physics, quantum information theory and black hole physics. In this talk, I will first introduce some progresses in the study about strongly coupling magnetic materials by AdS/CFT correspondence. Then I will introduce an application of quantum information theory in AdS/CFT correspondence. Particularly, I will introduce how to use "complexity" in quantum information theory to study some issues such as quantum phase transitions in materials and causal structures of spacetime.
